The heart of creativity is an experience of the
mystical union; the heart of the mystical union is an experience of
creativity. -Julia Cameron

Uncover Your Creative Potential – to live a more
creative and fulfilling life.
When we create with our whole being: our mind, our heart, our feelings, our intuition and our senses, we begin to heal. -Marion Woodman
The desire to create comes from deep within our soul and the act of creating is sacred. Creating is one of Spirit’s gifts to each one of us, whether we admit it
or not. It is up to us to tap into it and then allow the joy creating can bring
into our lives.
Creativity is allowing yourself to be open to possibilities you haven’t
thought of with your logical mind. It is putting your mind aside, and
allowing your heart and soul to speak. Creativity is being free to allow
possibilities to come up that might be considered “outside the box”.
Creativity is finding a new way to accomplish tasks, even everyday tasks
like cooking. Creativity is using your intuition to find solutions and
to live life. It is living in inspiration. (Dr. Wayne Dyer refers
to inspiration as living "in Spirit".)
Creativity can also mean writing, drawing, painting, sculpting, sewing,
photography, etc. simply for the joy of creating; to release what your soul
wants to express.
Life is richer and more joyful if we allow ourselves to be in
touch with the part of us that wants to create and if we allow this part
of ourselves to create with no judgments. When we create with our
whole being: our mind, our heart, our feelings, our intuition and our
senses, we begin to heal.* We are touching our soul, we are
touching Spirit.
Once we begin opening our hearts and touching Spirit, synchronistic,
magical things start happening in our lives. Our life flows more
easily and we may want to let go of the things that we no longer need to
make room for the new creative possibilities that fit better with our
authentic selves. For example, the changes might be as large as quitting
an unfulfilling job and moving to a part of the country that calls to
your soul, even though you don’t exactly know why you are doing it. Or
the changes might be smaller, like finally getting those acrylic paints
that you’ve been thinking about for years or enrolling in a class that
calls to you.
Uncovering your creative potential is an evolving theme that moves
through everyone’s life. It isn’t a goal that can be reached, but is a
process. Allow yourself to taste the possibilities and begin a journey
of a lifetime!

How does one unleash their creative potential? My focus is on
two specific processes though I'm sure there are probably many ways.
One process is what I call "Explore your Creative Spirit" which uses
ritual and spontaneous expression to open one's heart and dive deep into
the creative process with no judgments of the outcome of the drawing or
painting. Another process I use is the shamanic journey.
Read on for more about these processes...
Explore Your Creative Spirit sessions give you a chance to
access the creative spirit you possess, let go of inhibitions and create
with no judgments. The intention for the session is the process and not the product.
One creates for the enjoyment of it with no concerns about the outcome of the
drawing. My life flows more easily when I've spent time in my own creative sessions.
I create the container for your creative sessions, setting the tone and
holding space for your creative adventure. I'll get you going and
move things along, answering questions you may have. I will
also offer whatever may be presenting itself through my intuition.
Shamanic journeying is, among other things, a sacred way to heal, a way
to become familiar with your heart energy and your soul, and perhaps a
way to explore your intuition and become more confident in recognizing
and following your intuition. Journeying is also a way to receive
unconditional love and support, which is especially important if we
dealing with difficult situations in our lives or are going through
large transitions. Our Spirit Guides and Helpers love and support us
unconditionally and are eager to help us in any way possible, with
healing, wisdom, guidance, fun and laughter. It is through journeying
that we can begin to be open to our creative potential if we allow it
and if that is our intention.
Journeys can be done for unlimited reasons, however if you would like to
have creativity as your focus or intention for your journey, we will
place the intention on creativity and on surrendering our fears, our
self-imposed limitations, creative blocks, attitudes, disbelief and
anything else that may be holding you back from living a more creative
life. What we
will ultimately be doing is learning how to journey and surrender to
Spirit in order to communicate with our Spirit Guides and Helpers. Once
you have the connection and are able to feel confident about the
interactions, you will be able to journey on your own and continue the
process of uncovering your creative potential.
